Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (including to the components of the drug), severe heart failure, arterial hypertension, prostate adenoma, narrow-angle glaucoma, pregnancy, breast-feeding, children's age.

For topical use in ophthalmology: increased intraocular pressure, open-angle glaucoma (including secondary), pseudoexfoliation glaucoma.
Anti-glaucoma drug. Brimonidine is a selective agonist of α2-adrenergic receptors. When instilled with a 0.2% brimonidine solution, the decrease in intraocular pressure is 10-12 mm Hg. Art., the maximum effect is observed after 2 hours, the duration of action is 12 hours. Brimonidine has a double mechanism of action: it reduces intraocular pressure by reducing the synthesis of intraocular fluid and enhancing uveoscleral outflow.
